FAQs

How can I view all the designs in the studio library?

The studio library is currently hosted by The Pattern Cloud. Access to the studio library is limited to professional clients and trade, who may register for free here.

We do appreciate that everyone loves browsing beautiful artwork, and our website has tons of fun content to explore:

As of June 2023, we’ve opened a studio art shop, where we sell originals and open/limited edition prints from studio artists.

There's loads of great content over at our journal, where we dive into studio stories, chat about all things design and review the latest collections.

The studio moodboard is a live page, continually updated with content relating to art, music, fashion...anything we're inspired by in the moment.

You can also join us on Instagram and Pinterest.

If you have any questions about access or registration, please shoot us a note.

How we sell designs (A quick Explainer):

Sullivan Street sells all studio artwork for outright purchase. However, because the studio partners with many independent artists, a small number of designs are available only as non-exclusive.

Outright purchase, © & Usage

All print designs available from Sullivan Street Studio are sold outright. Artwork purchased outright may be used in perpetuity, with no restrictions on usage and no copyright credit required.

Exclusive vs. Non-Exclusive

A small number of designs in the studio library are sold as non-exclusive. This means that the artist retains copyright and ownership of the artwork. However, Sullivan Street Studio will only sell the print design once.

Ownership

All artwork is removed from the studio library once sold, regardless of exclusivity. Ownership for exclusive designs (the vast majority of the library) transfers to the client once sold. For artwork that is sold non-exclusive, the artist retains ownership and may continue to sell and profit from the work, though not through Sullivan Street Studio.

Does Sullivan Street Studio formally represent the artists featured in its library?

Nope! All artists with whom we partner are independent or have their own representation.

Can I commission custom print designs?

We are always happy to work with clients on custom designs or collections. Contact us to discuss.
